Pain, The Experience of a Lifetime?

All too often animal pain is not appropriately delineated and diagnosed correctly into the multiple types of pain that exist. This translates into inappropriate treatment plans for the differing types of pain which may have some more severe and longer lasting impacts on the physiology and psychology of our patients. In this lecture we will explore the different types of pain, their differences, and how veterinary professionals need to start addressing more than the physical discomfort of pain, but also the mental wellbeing of animals.
